Privacy policy

Last updated: February 2026

RavenLens (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information entrusted to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the RavenLens AI Apps Monitoring, Measurement, and Improvement platform (the "Platform"), interact with our website, or integrate our SDKs and APIs into your applications.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our monitoring and improvement services, we collect different types of data, ranging from your account details to the technical traces generated by your AI applications.

A. Information You Provide to Us
When you register for an account, contact support, or interact with our sales team, we may collect:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, company name, and password.

  • Billing Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect payment details via our secure third-party payment processors.

B. Usage and Device Data
When you visit our website or log into the RavenLens dashboard, we collect:

  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and time spent on the site.

  • Cookies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, analyze platform traffic, and personalize your experience.

C. AI Observability Data (Traces & Metrics)
This is the core data required for RavenLens to function. When you integrate RavenLens into your applications to track your AI usage, we collect:

  • Traces and Spans: Technical logs regarding the execution of your AI features.

  • Inputs and Outputs: The prompts sent to LLMs (Large Language Models) and the completions/responses received, which allow us to provide analysis and improvement suggestions.

  • Metadata: Timestamps, latency metrics, token usage costs, error rates, and model identifiers.

  • End-User Context: Any custom metadata you choose to tag your traces with (e.g., User IDs or Session IDs from your own application).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to operate RavenLens and deliver the specific value of AI observability and optimization:

  • Service Provision: To visualize your AI traffic, track costs, and display performance statistics on your dashboard.

  • Improvement Propositions: We analyze your collected traces (prompts and completions) to algorithmically suggest improvements, such as prompt engineering optimizations, model alternatives, or cost-saving adjustments.

  • Platform Optimization: To detect anomalies, fix bugs within the RavenLens infrastructure, and improve the latency of our ingestion API.

  • Communication: To send you technical alerts, product updates, newsletters (with your consent), and respond to support inquiries.

  • Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information or your propriety trace data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, we may share data in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our infrastructure (e.g., cloud hosting providers like AWS/GCP, database management services, and email delivery platforms).

  • AI Sub-Processors: To generate "propositions for improvement," we may securely process snippets of your trace data through specialized AI models tailored for code or prompt analysis.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights and the security of our users.

  • Business Transfers: If RavenLens is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention and Anonymization

We retain your Account Information for as long as your account is active. We retain AI Observability Data (Traces) for a limited period based on your subscription plan retention settings. After this period, the detailed traces are deleted.

We may aggregate and anonymize usage data (stripping out all specific prompt contents and personal identifiers) to publish industry benchmarks regarding AI latency or token usage trends.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to control your personal data. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Correction: Request updates to inaccurate or incomplete account information.

  • Deletion: Request the deletion of your account and associated trace data, subject to legal retention obligations.

  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

Note on End-User Data: If you are an end-user of an application that utilizes RavenLens, please contact the application developer (our Customer) directly for privacy requests, as they are the Data Controller of the information collected via their app.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at [Insert Contact Email].

6. Security

We take security seriously, especially given the sensitive nature of AI traces. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, API key authentication, and strict access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Third-Party Links and Integrations

Our platform may contain links to external websites or integrations with third-party LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external services and encourage you to review their policies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our features (such as new AI analysis tools) or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
